I’m officially finished with this program! Took me twice as long as I had planned, but feeling pretty accomplished that I was able to not only get through it, but to deliver high quality work.
AFPA was great to work with and graciously provided me a 6 month extension following my accident/brain injury. Finishing has been a definite challenge, but I was dedicated to getting through it by the deadline. Looking forward to how God will lead me to use this going forward.
I’m determined that although I’m still recovering, this injury does not define me. Things are different, and I am making adjustments to manage, but I’m not letting life pass me by …and I’m definitely not settling for the fact that my current situation is my normal.
I’ll be writing more about my healing journey as my blog will be a bigger focus now that I’ve completed this chapter. I’m learning more everyday and am gaining much insight from the new practitioner I’ve added to my team, and I’m so grateful that my company has been so great about working with me as I manage my symptoms so that I can work effectively and try to have some energy left at the end of the day. It’s a daily struggle, but I’m giving myself grace to move forward at my own pace and learn all I can from this season.
No matter what, God is good and he is in control.
“Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.” -Isaiah 58:8 ESV
